The days are getting shorter, the nights are getting colder, and over here at Ansley Fones Web Design, we’re cuddling up with thoughts of gratitude. I am always grateful for the incredible variety of fonts out there, particularly those found on Creative Market. To get you into the Thanksgiving mood, here are ten fonts I’m thankful for.

1. Modern Bohemian Font Duo

Why I Love It: This font set by The Styled Script includes both a script font and a sans font, letting you skip the script/print font matching game altogether! The long lines and curves of the script are juxtaposed nicely by the bubbliness of the sans, providing a sleek, modern look. 

 

2. Forever Grateful

About This Font: “Forever Grateful is a playful, hand-drawn script. It comes with a set of autumn themed doodles that can be accessed with upper and lowercase letters using Forever Grateful Doodles. Forever Grateful font can be used for personal or commercial projects, in logos, on items for purchase with unlimited sales, and can be turned into a web font.” 

Why I Love It: Designer Denise Chandler has created a playful, engaging font with Forever Grateful. The addition of the doodles add dimension and seasonal charm to headlines and emphasized words in your text. 

 

3. Have Heart

About This Font: “Have Heart is a set of 2 hand-made marker pen fonts, designed to combine perfectly and allow you to create stunning hand-lettering quickly and easily. Also included is a set of 12 bonus swashes, ideal for giving your text that final touch of finesse!” 

Why I Love It: Creative Market stalwart Sam Parrett has done it again with Have Heart. He’s created a gorgeous, clean, and professional font that’s great for headlines and motivational quotes. With its depth and texture, Have Heart is bold and strong. 

 

4. Bernaillo

About This Font: Bernaillo is “a handwritten style font…very suitable for use in a variety of uses such as watermarks, signature and signature logos, business cards, brand names, and many more.” 

Why I Love It: Pen Culture’s Bernaillo is an elegant script font for use in titles, signatures, and more. Its handwritten style exudes simple, understated elegance. 

 

5. Callet Script 

About This Font: “Callet is a modern script font with bold line style. Every single letter has been carefully crafted to make your text look beautiful. With modern script style, this font will be perfect for many different projects, like quotes, blog headers, posters, weddings, branding, logos, fashion, apparel, letters, invitations, stationery, etc.”

Why I Love It: Created by vuuds, Callet’s strong down strokes make it a font you can’t look away from. Your eyes are drawn naturally to the bold shapes and curves, making this a great font for text that you want to stand out on your page. 

 

6. Northwell Font

About This Font: “Introducing: Northwell!” A rustic, dapper handwritten font with a personal charm. With quick dry stokes and a signature style, Northwell is perfect for branding projects, homeware designs, product packaging – or simply as a stylist text overlay to any background image.”

Why I Love It: With two full font alphabets and additional swash options, Northwell is a versatile script font. Sam Parrett utilizes texture and small imperfections in his letters to create a natural look for a handwritten font set. 

7. Silver South Font Duo

Why I Love It: Another winning script and print font due, Silver South, designed by Sam Parrett, features a print font with a serif for more bold, professional typing. The handwritten script contrasts well with the serif for clear, elegant communication on your page. 

 

8. Oh Darling

Why I Love It: Oh Darling, created by PeachCreme, is an adorably playful script font ready to liven up your page. Its option for beginning and ending swashes adds a dash of artistry to your script. 

 

9. Figueira

Created by NiceStuffSupply, Figueira works well for creative endeavors. 

 

10. Trincha 

About This Font: “A sans-serif, vernacular, open type typography with 145 glyphs based on the hand painted letters seen on the walls of Sao Paolo country towns. Trincha is the Portuguese name of a broad brush, the kind of brush used on signs and wall letterings.”  

Why I Love It: Trincha, a font by Type Box, offers a hand painted sign feel to its words. This font is great for use in a place where you want a bold look without a script font. The offering of two different distress levels adds dimension to the font and makes it a versatile option for many sites.
